Harris Scarfe is one of Australia's longest trading retailers, with over 160 years of experience. Formed by Mr George Peter Harris & Mr John C Lanyon in 1849 in Hindley Street, Adelaide, Harris Scarfe has grown today operating with over 60 stores across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania.

Harris Scarfe is part of the Pepkor South East Asia group with sister companies Best & Less and Postie Plus turning over circa $1 billion in Australia and New Zealand. Pepkor is a division of Steinhoff International that trades from 12,000 retail outlets across more than 30 countries and employs over 130,000 people.
