Always ensure that your shirt is well pressed. If you don’t know how, find someone who can teach you! Mum’s are great for this.. Or, if in doubt, many Laundromats will offer a shirt pressing service.
Better still, embrace the trusty iron. It is a small electrical device after all... The iron is a great tool to have in your arsenal and all the women in your life will be mightily impressed!
Ensure that your tie and shirt are well co-ordinated. Personal taste will always reign supreme, but ensure that you put some consideration into your choices. Don’t be afraid to ask advice from our friendly staff if you get stuck.
A great guide is to match the base colour of the shirt with your tie – even if they vary in shade. A smart, failproof option is to go white on white or black on black. This look works every time!
Ensure that when tied, your tie tip almost meets your belt buckle. If not, you need to re-tie. A short tie is for school kids only!
